In January 2006 Bishop Roosevelt Dunn stated at the Leadership meeting that there was only one thing on the agenda and that was to build a temple for God's people. From this, the Jurisdiction of Colorado, Church of God in Christ, began “Just One Cause.” In addition, Bishop Dunn expressed that it was critical that we build our physical foundation in order to sustain the ministry.

The mission of “Just One Cause,” is to fundraise monies and then construct a building that all of us can come together to worship in. We have laid the cornerstone of our building already, which is Jesus Christ.  And, now we're going to build upon that cornerstone.  We look forward to the future in our church with great anticipation knowing that God is with us in this building project.  And, "if God is for us, who can be against us?!"

Guided by our remarkable leader, Bishop Dunn, not only will the Jurisdiction use this new building to gather, but it will be a site for the local community. The location of the building will be in Montebello, which is a community that truly does need our help. It will bring families together, give children a place to recreate and make the neighborhood more pleasing and appealing place to be.

In the meantime, we need both your support and help getting the word out about “Just One Cause.”

As we move forward with building our foundation, let us stay prayerful and committed to our faith. We pray not only for the task of the physical work that will be done but also that God will bless the ministry work that will take place afterwards.
